Council

An umbrella organization for all alumni, the Curtis Alumni Council exists to unite Curtis alumni worldwide and to serve as advisors, guardians and supporters of the Institute. The mission of the council is to strengthen ties among alumni worldwide and between alumni and Curtis. All Curtis alumni are represented by the council with no membership dues. Elected alumni serve as class representatives as well as representatives from independent Curtis alumni organizations. One elected council representative also serves on the Curtis Board of Trustees to represent the alumni.

The Complete Brandenburg Concertos at Saint Mark's Church

Curtis students and faculty member Lionel Party, harpsichord, will perform Bach's complete Brandenburg Concertos in a pair of recitals on Sunday, November 18 at Saint Mark's Church. Concertos 1 through 3 will be performed starting at 4 p.m. and concertos 4 through 6 will be performed starting at 7:30 p.m. There will be a break between programs. The recital is free and no tickets are required. Saint Mark's Church is at 1625 Locust Street, Philadelphia.

Tavern 17 is offering a 10 percent discount on dinner (alcohol not included) between 5:15 and 7:30 p.m. to patrons who show their concert program. Tavern 17 is located in the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel at 1701 Locust Street. Reservations are recommended at 215-790-1799.
